RESEARCH AGENDA
Understand first.
Act with purpose.
An agent-first research agenda for capabilities that can be measured and supervised in the physical world.
These are Neurobatic research priorities and collaboration areas, not claims of completed experiments, certification or partnerships with the organisations cited below.
01 · Vision-language-action agents
Translate requests into traceable task steps, with clear boundaries between perception, planning and execution.
02 · Dexterity & tactile sensing
Study grasping, slip detection, force control and varied objects; validate designs against real tasks.
03 · Simulation & sim-to-real
Train and test in digital environments, then measure transfer in physical settings and record failures and recovery.
04 · Human supervision & safety
Study stopping, escalation, permissions and auditable records. Higher-risk tasks require dedicated assessment.
05 · Fleet orchestration & operations
Coordinate robots, people, charging, maintenance and business systems. Measure productive hours and interventions.
06 · Efficient hardware & AI factories
Explore modular, repairable designs and manufacturing automation. AI-assisted designs require engineering review and validation.
07 · Interaction & privacy
Prioritise natural language, visual interfaces and consent-based preference memory. BCI remains a longer-horizon research watch area.

Define success before deployment.
Each pilot defines objects, payloads, environment, cycle times, completion rates, human interventions, charging downtime, maintenance and data handling. Measured results and the selected hardware model become the basis of the final specification.
